Terms of Service

FluentFeast is a language-learning service built around cooking: bilingual recipes, vocabulary practice, speaking and listening exercises, menu scanning and translation, and cultural content. We add, change, and retire features as the Service evolves.

You need an account for most features. Keep your sign-in credentials secure — you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service.

You can delete your account at any time in the app or at fluentfeast.com/delete-account.

FluentFeast offers a free plan and paid subscriptions. Paid plans renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed and managed by those stores under their terms; purchases made on our website are processed by our payment partners. Cancelling stops future renewals — store-billed subscriptions must be cancelled in your device's store settings.

Prices may change; we will give you notice before a change affects an active subscription. Except where required by law or by app store policy, payments are non-refundable. Billing questions: billing@fluentfeast.com.

You may add content to the Service — for example imported recipes, scanned menus, photos, and practice recordings ("Your Content"). You keep ownership of Your Content. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, process, translate, and display Your Content as needed to operate and improve the Service.

If you delete your account, recipes you contributed to the shared library may remain available in fully anonymized form.

The Service — including recipes, lessons, audio, illustrations, software, and branding — is owned by FluentFeast or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-commercial license to use it through the Service. You may print bilingual recipes for personal use where your plan includes that feature.

Don't misuse the Service. That includes: breaking the law, scraping or bulk downloading content, reverse engineering, reselling access, uploading malicious code, impersonating others, or interfering with the Service or other users. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Recipes are provided for educational and informational purposes. You are responsible for safe food handling and for checking ingredients against allergies and dietary requirements. Translations and AI-generated learning content may contain errors — don't rely on them where accuracy is critical.

The Service depends on third-party providers — for example authentication, payment processing, and app stores. Their terms apply to their services. We are not responsible for third-party websites linked from the Service.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that you'll reach fluency by dessert.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FluentFeast will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD $50. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination do survive.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you (for example by email or in-app notice) before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
