Privacy Policy

Account information. Your name, email address, and sign-in identity, handled through our authentication provider.

Learning data.Your target language and skill level, vocabulary progress, streaks, saved and cooked recipes, cuisine preferences, and practice activity. This is the heart of the product — it's how we remember where you left off.

Content you add. Recipes you import, menu photos you scan for translation, and audio you record in speaking practice.

Payment data. Subscriptions are processed by the Apple App Store, Google Play, or our payment partners. We receive subscription status and plan — we never see or store your full card number.

Usage and device data. App interactions, device type, and approximate region, used for analytics and debugging.

To provide and personalize the Service (lessons, recommendations, progress tracking); to process subscriptions; to power features like menu scanning and translation; to send service emails (and, if you opt in, our newsletter); to keep the Service secure; and to improve it through aggregate analytics.

Some features — translation, recipe parsing, speaking feedback — are powered by AI service providers. Content you submit to those features is processed by these providers to deliver the feature, not to advertise to you.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

Service providers that run parts of the product for us — authentication, subscription management and payments (Apple App Store, Google Play, RevenueCat, Stripe), cloud hosting, analytics, and AI providers for the features above. They may only use your data to provide their service to us.

Legal reasons. If required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of FluentFeast and our users.

Business transfers. If FluentFeast is acquired or merged, your data may transfer with the company; this policy would continue to apply.

We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your profile, learning history, saved recipes, and subscription record from our servers; recipes you contributed to the shared library may remain in fully anonymized form. Deletion requests sent by email are completed within 30 days. Some records (e.g., tax and billing) may be retained where the law requires.

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

You can act on most of these yourself, instantly:

Export— "Export my data" in the app's profile settings.
Delete— "Delete account" in the app, or fluentfeast.com/delete-account.

For anything else — or if you can't sign in — email privacy@fluentfeast.com from your account email. We respond to verified requests within 30 days. EU/UK users may also lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority.

FluentFeast is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact privacy@fluentfeast.com and we will delete it.

We are based in the United States and process data there and in other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for transfers from the EU/UK.

We use industry-standard measures — encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will notify you as required by law.
